Life is full of choices we all know that. These choices are forks in the road ahead and we have to chose one or the other path. Physically speaking we cannot split ourselves into two and explore both paths, yet notionally speaking in reality many a times we do exactly that. What do I mean? When faced with a choice, there are many two basic ways we can make a decision. One is with the mind and another is with the heart.
When making decision with the mind the energy and focus is on outward factors. What will my friends or parents think? Will they approve? Is this the right decision – I don’t want to be wrong. What are the statistics and numbers supporting this decision? Can I justify why I chose ( in case it goes wrong)?
A heart decision on the other hand is an inward decision. Is there joy in this? Is this aligned with who I am? Would I still be at peace if things did not work out the way I envision? Would this decision energize me to act to solve problems to make the result good?
Our quality of life is determined by how “full-heartedly” make these choices. So go ahead and first analyse the data, listen out everyone, absorb it all. Once it is all in, find a calm space where the outside clutter and voices can not reach you. Where all you are left with is your own calmness and then listen to your heart.
Follow your heart full heartedly take the fork that it shows and never look back.
