We work so hard to convince people through words and gestures. We even have trainers extolling the virtue of presentation, grooming, and body language – as if when we master those we can truly impress people and get the best job, excel in sales, and impress people to get the best friends.
What we completely ignore in the process is the deepest source of all relating and communications – that is our inner feelings, state of mind, and the resulting energy and vibrations we send out regardless of the spoken words and bodily gestures.
Energy and Vibration transmission
Even the most aware person, when they are nervous, angry, or agitated will transmit the energy and vibrations corresponding to their inner state. Conversely, a person who is calm, confident, loving, composed, or at peace will transmit that even if they do not say single word or give a single gesture.
Medium of Communication
We may be more aware of how we feel when we are in front of a person. But we are mistaken if we think that non-face-to-face communication does not transmit energy and vibrations. If we think that emails, chats, or text messages only communicate words. Humans are tuned to picking up the vibrations even from these seemingly impersonal communication mediums.
Time to go in – time to communicate
What we ought to do – is not be compelled to communicate in all situations. It is smarter to choose to stay away from communication until we get inner centeredness. First task at hand is always work on our inner state, then communication happens almost automatically or effortlessly without too many words or prolonged engagement.
Keep increasing your awareness of:
- inner state – positive / relaxed or not
- intention of communication
- purpose of furthering the quality of relationship
- ability to not get caught up in immediate goals – those narrow the space of communication
In summary, get away from the fixation with amount of communication, external effort, convincing, and focus on the quality of energy and vibrations based on how you really feel before you communicate.
