Is the world a good place? Are people trustworthy in general? Will we be provided in life or will we have to fight and struggle to get our needs met? These are simple yet key existential questions that set the tone for our overall happiness and how we go through life.
So if I had to guess, the world could be divided almost evenly into two major camps – those who are “Believers” and those who are “Skeptics”. When I talk of faith here, I am not talking about anything religious but an underlying belief we carry about life as a whole. So who is right? It really does not matter who is right because “BOTH ARE RIGHT” and the debate is futile because the simplest truth from my experiences (and many spiritual masters) is that “what you believe you create”. So if you have faith that good will happen, good happens and if you believe ill will happen you attract ill.
Faith is not conditional
If you need proof from life to have faith, you don’t have faith, period. Faith is knowing deep down in your heart that you are provided for, that right things happen at the right time and that if certain things are not happening for us as we wish, it is because we are not ready and need to change or that what we wish for is actually not the best for us as we may think. Faith is a measure of what truly believe we deserve – beyond any doubt or need for proof.
Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe. Voltaire
Faith is patience and trust
Every time something goes off plan or someone creates doubt as to what is possible or may happen, and you become nervous or agitated or impatient – it simply means you do not have faith and do not deep down believe you deserve what you want to have happen. The universe is very kind and gives us what we want but it is also smart to our worthiness for what we ask. Our worthiness is tested by giving us situation that will test us to the limit and if we do not waver or doubt in those situations we shall surely receive. With faith we have confidence but not rigid timelines and exacting definitions – we give universe freedom to deliver us what we want with improvisations that we can not even imagine.
If patience is worth anything, it must endure to the end of time. And a living faith will last in the midst of the blackest storm. Mahatma Gandhi
Faith is empowering
So how does faith work? Is it just external magic or do we have something to do with it?. Faith actually works through us to make things happen. Faith empowers us to act, when we have faith we are gladly spend effort (emotional and otherwise) and we are not constantly questioning our path. This focused / empowered and inspired action is exponentially more effective than action taken with doubt and skepticism.
Beyond our actions, having faith also creates a certain level of positive energy that positively affects others – many times without them knowing it. People feel the trust and take the leap of faith themselves to change their thinking, to take risks for you, to stand by you. In essence, you are a magnet attracting all things to you through the signal you are emitting through your thoughts and feelings and feeling of faith is the most powerful manifestation medium.
As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit. Emmanuel Teney
