When an idea comes to a person there is a lot of excitement about what is possible and how that one idea can change the world or at least the person’s life. Then soon after kicks in plethora of well wishers who come with “black hat” thinking and point out to the person how the idea is flawed, how it won’t work, how they need to do in-depth research, how it did not work the last time someone tried it or the classic – “there is no money in this line of business”.
What is amazing in this process is no one bothers to sit down and understand the idea in detail and all its beauty and nuances. Moreover, no one realizes in the process that the seed of the idea does not have to be the complete idea and how it would be implemented. It never dawns on them that probably the best value they could add is “be a bouncing board” , an encourager, a contributor and a co-creator in the process of creation.
Let’s get this straight, shooting holes in someones idea is not contribution. Trust me they are scared enough. So next time you hear an idea seek to understand it, play with it, work with it, mull over it, mold it, tweak it, toss it around and what not but don’t shoot it!
Nice artile love it
